A major construction project is currently underway at the Queen Lane Train Station. This project is expected to last until Spring 2010.
At this point entrance is gained through the handicapped ramps only. The steps on both sides are closed. To go towards Center City (Inbound) access is gained via the handicapped ramp located on Wissahickon Ave between Midvale and Queen Lane. To go towards Chestnut Hill (Outbound) you need to go past the station building, through part of the parking lot on the Queen Lane side, then via the handicapped ramp down to the tracks. SEPTA has posted some signs.
NO entrance can be gained from Midvale Ave. You cannot get from one side of the tracks over the tracks to the other.
Please allow yourself a few extra minutes to get familiar with the new access routes. Security is still on location and if you have concerns please call security at 215-951-2335 and ask for George at the train station (remember that you are on a phone and they are on a walkie-talkie so only one person can talk at a time). The Queen Lane shuttle will be dropping off and picking up from the Queen Lane side.
