1. Call the Admission Office (215-951-2345) or make a request online for an application packet.
2. Submit completed application (preferably before parent interview).
3. Schedule a parent interview and tour for late September, October, November or December. (Both parents are requested to attend together if possible.)
4. Parent interviews and tours begin.
5. After GFS acknowledges receipt of application, schedule readiness assessment (kindergarten) or student visit (grades 1-11) for October, November or December.

October
1. If you didn’t submit your application in September, do so now.
2. Student visits begin (after application is received by GFS).
3. Open House (optional) on Saturday, October 2, 1-3 pm, for families. Registration is from 1:00-2:00 pm.

November
To ensure availability of parent interview and student visit appointments, applications should be submitted by now.

1. Kindergarten readiness assessments begin.
2. Kindergarten applicant playday for siblings is November 13, 9:00 am - 11:00 am.
3. Forward School Records Release Form to current school, and request that records be sent to GFS before January 7. Transcript must include fall grades. Transcript not required for Kindergarten applicants.
4. Submit Confidential Teacher Recommendation Form(s) to current classroom teacher and request that they be returned directly to GFS after December 1 and before January 7. Grades 6-12 applications
require 2.
5. Grades 6-12 applicants should take the SSAT or ISEE.
6. Open House/information session (optional)-Thursday, November 11, 8:30-11:00 am. for parents. Registration is at 8:15 am.

December
1. Final deadline for application is December 3, 2010.
2. Late applications will be accepted if space allows.
3. Kindergarten applicant Saturday playday.
4. Grades 6-12 applicants may take the SSAT or ISEE.
5. Grades 6-12 applicants submit a writing sample (a photocopy of a recent graded paper).

January
1. Final steps of the application process must be complete by January 7.

February
1. Families will be notified in writing of the admission decision by mid-February and then on a rolling basis as committee decisions are made.
2. Financial Aid Applications from new families due February 4, 2011.
3. Some accepted applicants may be placed in the waiting pool until we are certain of space availability.
4. Families whose children are not accepted may request a telephone conference with an admission director after March 1.
