We played Westtown last Friday, 10/21, at Westtown, in a game that had all sorts of implications for league standings and playoff positioning.

Church Farm is undefeated this year. We played Penn Charter last Saturday and Westtown this coming Friday, so this game, in between 2 important, emotional games, was hard to focus on.

On Friday 10/14, the boys soccer team traveled to ANC to play a league game in rainy, wet conditions.

On Tuesday 10/11, on a rainy, slippery home field, we pretty much beat a very respectable AFS team by scoring the first 4 goals, eventually winning 5-2.

We took the lead in the first half on a wonderful sequence between Mbizo and Evan Cantu-Hertzler, who executed a perfect give-and-go that freed up Mbizo for a clear shot that he pushed past the Shipley goalie for a 1-0 lead.

Mbizo Mzamane scored a natural hat trick--the first 3 goals of the game--and, in so doing, set the school record for most goals in a career. He now has 44 and counting.

For the second straight game, the defense didn't allow a goal. Nate Gemberling-Johnson continues to be solid in goal (even if one of his practice punts went over the fence and onto City Ave--good thing we got that ball back!).
