After a record setting 16 win season, the Tigers earn the prestigious Eastern PA & District Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association Fair Play Award given annually to one high school and one college soccer team in the region.


The Varsity Girls Soccer team played a hard fought semifinal game against rival Friends' Central and prevailed 2-1.  The team has the best record in the history of girls soccer at GFS.  They enter the championship game at 11-1 and 9-0 in the league.  GFS hosts George School on Friday, October 31st at 2:30.  Come on out and see the Tigers go for their first ever league title!


With victory, Tigers set new school record for wins with 16 and earn third straight FSL championship berth!  Team looks to repeat as league champions as they travel to Shipley for a 2:30pm start on Friday, 10/31.

On Saturday, October 25th, the GFS Boys' cross country program took home their 3rd straight PA Independent Schools State title after they had captured their 7th straight FSL championship earlier in the week . A strong JV squad swept the FSL JV race for the 3rd straight year and the PA Independent State JV race for the 2nd year in a row.

On Tuesday at Westtown, the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams each brought home their 7th straight FSL Championship!

The team is 6-0 in the league and 7-1 overall.  In FSL competition, GFS has scored 24 goals, while the defense has allowed only 2 goals by league opponents. The Tigers take on Abington Friends on Wednesday.


GFS has two strong wins against Westtown and St. Andrews on Friday.


With wins, boys move to 5-0 in league play and 11-3 overall!  In a rematch of the last two FSL championship games, the Tigers will travel to Shipley on Friday, Oct. 10th to take on the Gators at 4:00pm!


With 4 minutes remaining in sudden victory overtime Zoe Groomes-Klotz scored on a corner to secure the win over Friends Select.  Freshmen, Annie Morrissey fed the assist.


Team stays undefeated in Friends Schools League competition!


Earning GFS its 2nd Felsen Cup Point of the day, the Boys Soccer Team shut out their third straight FSL opponent, defeating FCS 3-0! The Tigers move to 9-3 (3-0 FSL) with the win.


Two goals from Lydia Kring and one added by Nina Voith catapulted GFS over FCS 3-1. The Tigers are now 3-0 in the league and 4-1 overall.

GFS finished 4th in the very competitive Boys Championship Race at the Bowdoin Classic in Wappinger Falls, NY on Saturday. Leading the way for the Tigers was Gus McKenzie ('10) who came in 5th overall out of a field of 125 top runners. Complete race results can be found at www.dyestat.com.




The Tigers win their first two Friends Schools League (FSL) games, defeating MFS 3-0 on Thursday and FSS 2-0 on Saturday.  With the victories, GFS moves to 8-3 on the season.  They will take on FSL rival Friends' Central at home (A.A. Smith Field) on Tuesday, Sept. 23rd.
