9/2/05 - Boys' Varsity Cross Country at EA

The Tigers kicked off the season at the Episcopal Academy Invitational looking to build on their summer of mileage and week at Hawk Harrier cross country camp hosted by Saint Joseph's University.  Leading the Tigers in second place (17:16) was senior captain Jonas Crimm, followed closely by sophomore Jake McKenzie in third place (17:17).  GFS rounded out their top five with sophomore Isaac Ortiz (4th, 17:37), sophomore Max Kaulbach (5th, 17:40), and junior Jasper Sneff-Nanni (7th, 17:50).  Sophomore Brad Thompson, senior captain Christian Pilling, and freshman Eddie Einbender-Luks provided excellent depth placing 15th, 27th, and 29th respectively.  Next on the schedule for GFS is the Tripe XXXC Threat at Belmont Plateau on Saturday September 10th, hosted by Bryn Mawr Running Company.
