|
GFS is moving forward with one of the priorities identified in the most recent strategic planning process: a plan for a new science facility. We have just received a major grant in support of this priority. Click here for details.
As the number of students taking upper school science increases, the classrooms and labs in the Sharpless Building are less able to accommodate core and advanced courses in physics, chemistry and biology. Our science faculty are envisioning more spacious, updated facilities to foster collaborative learning and excellence in teaching.
SMP Architects (formerly Susan Maxman and Partners) have been retained to design a sustainable, highly functional "green" building, slated for completion in 2008 or 2009.
From this page, you will be able to navigate to the architectural drawings, learn why the GFS science classroom building is needed for our growing program, read articles about our science program, see photos of the construction, and learn where to park during construction.
Be sure to visit this site often and see our progress!
