The Tigers extended their dual meet win streak to 31 in a row with victories over George School (15-49) and Valley Forge Military Academy (18-43). GFS thus completed their 2008 dual meet season with an 8-0 record heading into the Championship Season. GFS took places 2-7 to secure the victory behind Seniors Eddie Einbender-Luks (2nd, 18:16) and Ben Finkel (3rd, 18:17).

The GFS Boys' XC team competed this weekend in Van Cortlandt Park, NY at the Manhattan College Invite. The Tigers had a strong performance in the Eastern States Championship Race placing 14th overall in a field that included the top teams from the Northeast, Southeast, and New York Regions. Leading the Tigers in 18th place, with the 2nd fastest PA performance of the day, was junior Gus McKenzie finishing in 12:52.67. Juniors Tom Waterman (48th, 13:21.33) and Ross Wistar (78th, 13:37.68) provided strong performances finishing 2-3 for the Tigers. Sophomore Evan Caldwell (109th, 13:46.39) and Senior Fenn Hoffman (120th, 13:51.53) closed out the scoring with a 59-second 5-man spread.

GFS placed 3rd in the Sophomore "B" Race behind the 6th placed finish of Zhewen Zhang in 14:15.09. Fellow Sophomores Caleb Rau (12th, 14:26.12) and Henry Blood (16th, 14:34.93) finished in the top 20. Sam Korus (44th, 15:25.62) and Graham Barrett (48th, 15:28.83) closed out the scoring at 126 points to secure the 3rd place finish. Rounding out the top 7 were Charlie McClelland (52nd, 15:33.16) and Jackson Walker (76th, 16:34.94).

In the JV "B" race, GFS placed 10th with 241 points. Sam Ebert continued his impressive season with a 13th place finish in 14:33.45. Ben Finkel (22nd, 14:41.71), Eddie Einbender-Luks (48th, 15:06.31), James Kelly (77th, 15:34.06), and Drew Daniels (81st, 15:39.62) completed the scoring.
