The GFS Boys' Cross Country Team opened up their 2009 dual meet season with a pair of victories to extend their unbeaten streak to 33 duals in a row- a streak that dates back to 2004.  Led by senior co-captains Gus McKenzie (1st, 18:10), Tom Waterman (2nd, 18:10), and Ross Wistar (3rd, 18:10), the Tigers beat Westtown 15-47 and Shipley 17-43.  Evan Caldwell (5th, 18:21), Sam Butler (6th, 18:21), and David Waterman (7th, 18:26) finished 5th- 7th to secure the victory.  Caleb Rau finished 14th overall to close out the Tigers' varsity 7.  

This weekend, GFS will send 9 runners to compete at the Bowdoin Park Classic in Poughkeepsie, NY while the remaining 30 runners will toe the line at the Council Rock North Invite at Tyler State Park.
