Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Squash for placing #9 in the country! 

 

Boys Varsity Squash are #3 in Div 2 and #19 overall!

 

At the U.S. Squash High School Nationals (February 5-8), the GFS Girls Varsity Squash team (Div 1) placed #9 in the nation, winning the consolation game against Noble & Greenough.  Olivia Fiechter #1 entered her match with the team score tied at 3-3.  Her match would determine the consolation finalists.  She won in 4 games after being down 1-0.  "She showed great poise and heat in her big win at Nationals!" said athletic director Katie Bergstrom.  Carey Celata #2 went undefeated 4-0.

 

The Boys Varsity Squash team (Div 2) had a great showing and won their 3/4 game, placing them #3 in the division, #19 overall.  Alex Nalle #2 went undefeated 4-0.
