Upper School students representing 12 student clubs have created a new event called Activist Day. This evening gathering is a mini-version of Fun Day, with all proceeds going to activist organizations of each club's choice.
This new event was born when Ray Hill-Cristol '17, one of the student leaders of the Human Rights Club, investigated having their club join with other social justice-oriented clubs to form a coalition for the purpose of engaging in student activism. This coalition has generated other activities, such as getting a group together to go to the March for Science on April 22. Activist Day is a great example of a student-generated event that captures the spirit of acting on behalf of non-partisan causes to contribute positively to society.
Come out to have fun and support their work!
