When: Sunday, May 21, 3 p.m.
The GFS choral ensembles will perform their annual spring concert this Sunday afternoon.
The program will feature Randall Thompson's The Peaceable Kingdom, as well as settings of poetry by contemporary composers, including Paul Mealor's setting of C.S. Lewis' "Love's as warm as tears," David Childs setting of e. e. cummings' "i thank You God," Joan Szymko's setting of The Peace of Wild Things by Wendell Berry and Kevin Memley's setting of Sarah Teasdale's There will come Soft Rains. Also included on the program are excerpts of Brahm's Liebeslieder Waltzes, folk songs and gospel selections.
