Though our application deadline of December 9, 2011 has passed, we will continue accepting applications. Late applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they become complete, based on availability of space in each grade.
Financial Aid applicants please note: Financial Aid applications (due date February 3, 2012) for current students and newly accepted applicants are reviewed in mid-February. Therefore, applications for admission that are not completed by the end of January will most likely be placed on financial aid waitlist.
To apply online, click the "Apply Online" button on the right hand side of this page. You will be asked to set up a username and password, which will allow you to complete, edit, and review your application before electronically submitting it to us. You will also be able to log in later to view application requirements and check to see if we have received all parts of your child's application. You can request that we send you a paper application in the mail by clicking "Request Application Packet" on the right hand side of this page.
After you have submitted your application, please call the Admissions Office to arrange your interview. The parent interview is a chance for you to find out more about GFS and for us to find out about your child. The interview includes a tour of our campus. We ask both parents to come together when possible.
Please call the office to arrange a visit after you have received your application acknowledgement letter. Applicants to the Lower School visit for a full day in one of our classrooms. They are welcomed enthusiastically by our students and teachers and are expected to participate in classroom activities. Your child should wear comfortable clothes, sneakers, and bring a snack and lunch that day.
Please give the recommendation form included in the application packet to your child’s current classroom teacher to be completed in early December. Lower school applicants must submit (1) teacher recommendation. The Teacher Recommendation form is also available at the right in the "Download Supplemental Forms" box.
Our Reading Specialist administers a brief Lower School screening during your child’s visit day which includes math and reading.
