    Peter Karp '78 visited campus to talk with Matt Zipin’s Advanced Programming class about his work in Artificial Intelligence. Karp is a director of the Bioinformatics Research Group Artificial Intelligence Center. He shared some of his research with the class and discussed career opportunities for tech-savvy students.

    Peter Spitz ’43 visited a Chemistry and Environmental Science class encouraging students to pursue careers in science, and, specifically, his own field of chemical engineering. Students were most interested to hear his views on energy independence, and how chemical engineers are playing a vital role in the U.S. manufacturing renaissance.
