Basketball Skills and Drills Clinic on May 3
Boys and girls in grades 6-8 are invited to "Skills and Drills" basketball on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
GFS Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach Shawn Werdt will lead an instructional clinic covering basketball fundamentals including ball handling, shooting, defense, footwork, and team play. There will be live scrimmages, a mentorship workshop, and guest speakers. Local high school coaches will be on-hand for a "meet and greet" opportunity.

off, but can drive into the parking lot for pickup. Players will meet at lower
field, though we may end up training on the baseball outfield of the upper

Sessions will be held rain or shine and will be
cancelled only if extreme/unsafe weather. In case of unsafe weather in the
middle of a session, players will seek shelter in GFS locker room. There will
be no make-up sessions, unless 2 Monday or 2 Wednesday sessions need to be
cancelled. In such a case, a make-up session will be offered later in June or
July. If there is a cancellation, parents will be notified by 5:30 the day of
for 3 sessions, either 3 Mondays or 3 Wednesdays, or $60 for 6 total sessions.
Checks should be made out to “Germantown Friends
School”. Payment must be made on the
first Monday or Wednesday the player attends. Cash accepted but not preferred.
Bring a soccer ball (pumped!) and appropriate soccer gear
(cleats, shin guards, water bottle, etc.)
