It would be very difficult to think of anything that could ease the transition to a new school year better than a chance to connect with old and new friends while enjoying pizza served by your teachers and principal. On Monday, August 27, Middle School faculty, parents and students braved the unpredictable rain storms and came together for the first time in months to catch up on summer doings and celebrate the start of an exciting new year. The annual "opening of school" pizza party has become a favorite Middle School tradition. It's a wonderful opportunity for new students, teachers and parents to begin to feel part of the GFS community. The positive energy in the air was absolutely palpable and the hugs and smiles all around bode well for another successful school term.
