On Wednesday, November 7, GFS students will get a taste of Hollywood when actor Michael Grant Terry ’01 returns to campus as this year’s Alumni Speaker. Terry studied cinematography and drama at Emerson College in Boston and apprenticed at the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival before heading West to Los Angeles, where, since 2008, he has held the recurring role of shy intern Wendall Bray on the hit TV show Bones. Other TV and film credits include Post Grad (2009), with Alexis Bledel, and guest appearances on Castle (2012), In Plain Sight (2012) and The Closer (2011), starring Kyra Sedgwick. Most recently, Terry has had a recurring role on the TV series Grimm, as Ryan Smulson.
Terry is the youngest son of beloved Middle School English teacher Will Terry. The Alumni Speaker series was established in 2004 to highlight the accomplishments of alumni who have drawn strength from our community and feel their lives have been informed by their time at GFS.
