Organized over a decade ago by sixth grade teacher Jeff Fetterman, the Halloween Haunt is probably one of the most beloved and definitely the spookiest of our Middle School traditions. Students in grades sixth through eighth don creative costumes designed to scare, amuse and stupefy during this lunch time celebration. Faculty have been known to join in the fun as well. Last year we had a mysterious visit from the crew members of the Starship Enterprise. Parents in the Fetterman class are kind enough to supply our young vampires, zombies and assorted creatures with treats and beverages after their ghoulish strut through the Dead Graveyard. At some of our past haunts, fifth graders in Taia Harlos' music classes rose from the dead to entertain us with a chilling rendition of the Michael Jackson video Thriller. This year's celebration was probably the creepiest yet in keeping with our Middle School yearbook theme for 2012 "Nightmare on Coulter Street".
