On Wednesday, May 8, sixth, seventh and eighth graders took a momentary break from their academic rigors and dazzled an appreciative Middle School audience with the abundance and variety of their talents. The performances are always varied and quite impressive. In any given year, you may see Tae Kwon Do, Yo-Yoing, ballet, a basketball dribbling routine, rap, demonstrations of balance and flexibility, not to mention all types of vocal and instrumental virtuosity. The students even provide humorous commentary between acts. This year the audience was treated to all types of musical performances including jazz, a classical quartet and a variety of wonderful vocal numbers.
It is without a doubt one of the high points of the spring season and a cherished Middle School tradition that has been under the inspired leadership and direction of Sixth Grade Teacher Janet Kalkstein for many, many years.
