Lacrosse: Varsity Assistant, JV, and Middle School Coaches

Germantown Friends School (Philadelphia, PA) is seeking Varsity Assistant, JV, and middle school coaches for its highly-competitive Girls Lacrosse program. Applicants need to be good communicators with a positive coaching philosophy and proven coaching experience, or the drive to learn the craft of coaching. High-level playing experience is preferred (collegiate or beyond). Candidates should be knowledgeable about the latest techniques that apply to lacrosse training, and be current on topics such as injury prevention and concussion management protocols, and strength and conditioning. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to coach in a positive manner and adhere to the values of the school, and the Friends Schools League. All applicants must also demonstrate a willingness to continue professional development in all aspects of diversity, equity, and belonging, and to create an inclusive team culture.

These are part-time positions from February-May. Varsity/JV Lacrosse is every weekday afternoon from 3:45-5:45 p.m., and Saturdays for tournaments.  Middle School Lacrosse is every weekday afternoon from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Daily availability at these times is essential.

Employment is subject to satisfactory completion of reference checks and proper clearances, as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Current PA background clearances (PA Criminal, FBI/Fingerprints, PA Childline) are preferred.
