Jasper Ling ’28 traveled to the Lincoln Center in New York City to compete in the finals of the English Speaking Union’s National Shakespeare Competition. One of 39 students out of 15,000 entries.

Joey Szpilczak's ’27 artwork and accompanying essay was one of 35 submissions from across the globe to win The New York Times multimedia challenge.

On Arbor Day, Friday, April 24, a group of Upper School students and several English teachers gathered to engage with renowned Pulitzer-prize winning eco-poet and translator Forrest Gander in the outdoor classroom known as Cary Woods.  

This spring, the impact of the four lacrosse senior captains was recognized not only through championships and on-field success, but through an extraordinary collection of academic and leadership honors that reflect the complete student-athlete experience.

On June 2, GFS celebrated senior Tiger athletes and the impact they’ve made on GFS Athletics. Proud families, dedicated coaches, and inspiring alumni, including featured speaker Greta Meyer '15, came together to honor and thank the Class of 2026 for years of commitment, resilience, leadership, and Tiger Pride.

During the 2026 Alumni Weekend, family, friends, teammates, alumni, and current student-athletes gathered at Gratwick Field to honor and retire the jerseys of seven fiercely dedicated, high-performing alumni athletes from GFS’ softball and baseball programs.
