GFS Seniors Named 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalists

Fifteen Germantown Friends School Upper School students have been named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. These awards are highly competitive, and the number of students who make it to the semifinal round represents less than 1% of high school seniors across the country.

In all, more than 16,000 semifinalists in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program will now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for about 6,930 National Merit Scholarships next spring. To enter the program, juniors take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
