A Season of Giving: Community Comes Together for Annual Thanksgiving Drives

The spirit of gratitude was in full swing this November as our community came together to support GFS' annual food, coat, and turkey drives. Organized by the Community Engagement Office, these initiatives successfully gathered essential resources to support our neighbors. The turkey drive for Holsey Temple provided meals for over 75 families in Germantown.

The events were a true campus-wide team effort. A special spotlight shines on our Early Childhood students, who put in incredible work collecting contributions specifically for the turkey drive.

Logistically, the distribution was made possible by our dedicated Maintenance staff, who handled the heavy lifting of transporting turkeys and side dishes. Dozens of Upper School students and staff stepped up to organize the distribution with impressive speed and care, ensuring everything was ready for delivery.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated and volunteered. Your generosity has made a tangible difference for many families this holiday.
