The Friends Free Library has compiled a list of books in our collection, as well as other neurodiversity-affirming resources, for Autism Acceptance Month. In gathering these materials, we have attempted to embrace the disability rights slogan “Nothing About Us Without Us.”

We have highlighted autistic voices whenever possible, and otherwise considered autistic people’s reviews of the materials before including them. In accordance with the wishes of many autistic people, we take this month to move from awareness to acceptance and appreciation.
