Germantown Friends School proudly celebrated 15 student-athletes from the Class of 2025 who will go on to compete at the collegiate level. In a heartfelt ceremony held in the Friends Free Library—a space rich with school history—families, coaches, teammates, and faculty gathered to honor the accomplishments and journeys of these outstanding scholar-athletes.

“These students have led in every corner of our school—on the field, in the classroom, and in our broader community,” said Athletic Director Katie Bergstrom Mark. “They’ve shown remarkable dedication, resilience, and leadership, and we are thrilled to see them continue their athletic and academic careers at the next level.”

The Class of 2025 includes future NCAA Division I and III athletes competing in crew, squash, lacrosse, track and field, cross country, baseball, and field hockey. Representing colleges and universities across the country—from Princeton and MIT to the University of Oregon and Swarthmore, and Amherst—these students exemplify the GFS commitment to excellence in both athletics and academics.

Each athlete participated in a ceremonial signing, followed by celebratory photos with their families, teammates, and coaches.

“We will be following your journeys from Coulter Street,” Bergstrom Mark said. “Remember your Tiger pride as you take on this exciting new chapter.”
