In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Office of Community Engagement held an annual Day of Service on campus. This important day gives families, students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to collaborate with organizations and community members in Germantown, and throughout the city of Philadelphia.
The morning began with a keynote address from Shayna Rudd, Community Engagement Manager for the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium at The Dr. Ala Standford Center for Health Equity.
In the afternoon, friends of all ages came together to participate in many different workshops, community drives, and neighborhood cleanups. Our community also has the opportunity to read, learn, question, and talk about how we can address problems facing our community and our world.
