Friday night before the two-week holiday break brought more than just visions of winter vacation; it delivered a gym full of energy, laughter, and Tiger Pride as the JV girls and JV boys basketball teams faced off in a spirited in-house scrimmage. With backpacks already packed for break and calendars ready to flip to the New Year, both teams treated the matchup like a chance to close out the year on a high note.
From the opening tip, the JV boys leaned into their size advantage, pushing the pace and finishing strong around the basket. But the JV girls were not about to let this one turn into a holiday blowout. Playing with grit, quick hands, and plenty of hustle, they forced turnovers, battled on the boards, and made every possession feel earned.
As the game rolled into the later minutes, the JV girls delivered some end-of-year fireworks, knocking down a few big shots that brought the bench to its feet and trimmed the score gap just in time to keep things interesting. It was a reminder that effort, teamwork, and confidence don’t take a holiday.
More than anything, the scrimmage was a perfect send-off into break: teammates cheering for teammates, smiles mixed with competitive fire, and a gym buzzing with the kind of energy that makes you excited to turn the page to the next chapter of the season. The final score was up for debate, but the amount of Tiger Pride on display was undeniable.
