Middle School teachers and students came together in March to spend the week exploring shared interests through our Middle School Mini-Courses. New this year, Middle School Mini-Courses are interdisciplinary deep dives that center joy, curiosity, and rigor as students experience uninterrupted learning around a single topic. Students built water wheels, constructed giant puppets, identified foraged mushrooms, wrote music, made movies, and more! Courses varied widely, but all operated under the theme "Philadelphia."
This week has been incredible. The Sharpless Building is humming with happiness as students build water wheels, construct giant puppets, identify foraged mushrooms, write music, build bridges, make movies and maps, and more!" exclaimed Middle School Teacher Rachel Reynolds.
