To support our study of immigration, 6th grade classes will attend a naturalization ceremony at the United States District Court in Philadelphia.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be present when dozens of people take their oath to become citizens. We’re excited to celebrate with them while we learn about the road they have taken to citizenship.
Because naturalization ceremonies are quite intimate, only two classes will attend the ceremony at a time. The trip takes place within the span of the school day and students will return in time to attend sports practice and other after-school activities. The following are the dates for each class:
Friday, December 14, 2018, 9:25 a.m.-2:15 p.m.: Miller and Zipin Classes
Thursday, February 21, 2019, 9:25a.m.-2:15 p.m.: Lachesis and Goodman Classes
Please reach out to LaToya Miller or Hannah Jacoby-Rupp if you have any questions.
