When: Friday, March 8 (LS Conference Day), time and details below.
Your child won't want to miss the chance to participate in a daylong HAMILTON-themed extravaganza filled with music, history, rap, food, and fun!
We're thankful to 3rd-grader Satchel Caskey for proposing the idea for Hamilton Day.
This event will answer the questions, "Who was Alexander Hamilton?" and "What made the Broadway musical, HAMILTON, such a blockbuster success?"
Participants will enjoy theme-related activities, including:
- Music (They'll learn a selection of Lin-Manuel Miranda's songs, which participants will perform at 2:30 p.m.)
- Sports with Coach C. (Including a game of age-appropriate dodgeball, Colonists v. Red Coats.)
- Baking (Who doesn't love City Tavern's ever-popular Sally Lunn Bread?)
- Art (Costume making for the 2:30 p.m. performance and more!)
Space will be limited; register early.
Fees: $60 (Early Bird until February 11), $70 until March 3, and $80 until March 8. Fee for day-of registration is $85 if space permits . The program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free coverage 7:30 to 9 a.m. Extended Day coverage from 3-5:30 p.m. is available for an additional $15.
