This season leads many to express their gratitude and affection through gift-giving.
With this in mind, we would like to remind families of our policy around this practice, which is reiterated in the Student and Family Handbook. In short, please remember that in keeping with the Quaker testimony of simplicity, gestures of appreciation, such as cards, notes, and child-made pictures/tokens, are most appropriate if you do choose to express thanks by material means. The school discourages expensive gifts or organized monetary collections.
Please know that as educators, we consider your trust in us, the appreciation you share, and, most of all, the company of your children each day as the greatest gifts you as families could possibly give.
