Students in Applied Economics at GFS used a design thinking process to create and run BioVital.
Students in Applied Economics at GFS used a design thinking process to create and run BioVital. They also participate in a virtual economy through Virtual Enterprise. The students have the opportunity to compete in regional and national competitions throughout the year against 730+ schools, and have succeeded in advancing into the second round of all five competitions. GFS was one of eleven schools to qualify for all five competitions.
The class has entered into five national competitions: Business Plan (Sean Park (CEO), Naiya Mainigi (COO), Zach Musthaq (CFO), and Elliot Savage (CBO), Finance: Zach Musthaq and Miguel Santos, Marketing: Alyssa Kang, Caleb Ash, Oliver Otto, and Alex Young, Human Resources: Caleb Abrams, William Jiggetts, and Gray Kearns, Quickbooks: Zach Musthaq and Miguel Santos.
