As we continue to navigate this complex time, GFS spring athletic practices have gone remote. Our talented, dedicated coaches have risen to the challenge and created enriching virtual practice sessions for our Middle and Upper School student-athletes as part of our Colloquia remote learning program.
Major League Baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds, Jesse Biddle '10, visited our Varsity Baseball team to answer questions about his experiences at GFS, his journey as a professional player, and how he's been training at home for the upcoming season.
GFS alums Riley Knowles '18 and Iris Williamson '12 stopped by and paid a visit to our Middle School Lacrosse team to discuss their lacrosse experiences at GFS and playing at their respective colleges, Pitzer College and the University of Pennsylvania.
Portia McKoy '18 (Lafayette College) and Teasha McKoy '18 (Lehigh University) left their mark on the Track & Field program. The dynamic siblings collected numerous accolades and broke several school records during their GFS careers. This past week, the McKoys, as well as Jonnie Plass '17 and Nick Dahl '17, paid a virtual visit to Middle School Track & Field and discussed their experiences at GFS and life as college athletes competing at the Division-I level, and offered valuable advice to the future track stars.
