Inside, our classrooms are beautifully crafted with warm, natural materials and flooded with abundant sunlight. When it’s time to head outdoors, students enjoy daily access to some of Philadelphia's premier parks for active, nature-based play.

Students are nurtured by a compassionate, experienced teaching team dedicated to bringing out their absolute best. Through the ongoing support of GFS' professional learning community, our downtown faculty brings innovative, well-resourced educational practices directly into the classroom.

The learning and fun continue after the school day with extended care until 6 p.m. featuring a rotating selection of hands-on clubs tailored exclusively to our Center City students. With offerings ranging from Science Explorers to the Groove On & Goof Off Club, our after-school hours are filled with joy and creativity.

In our dedicated Movement Studio, active play transforms into creative, mindful expression. Through an intentional balance of energetic dramatic play and quiet mindfulness, children learn to confidently express themselves, connect with peers, and discover the joy of being in their bodies.

We keep young minds active and inspired all summer long with a multi-week day camp specifically designed for children ages 3 to 6. Hosted on our Main Campus, we offer seamless daily transportation to ensure Center City families have easy access to year-round GFS programming.

We foster a unified school community through planned visits to our Germantown location, allowing students to see their friends at the other campus regularly. To ensure a smooth transition as they grow, a daily bus to the Main Campus is available right from the Curtis Center starting in Kindergarten.
