Summer is the perfect time to enjoy a few good books, and to keep reading skills strong. These programs are open to GFS students and Germantown community members alike.
Summer Reading Programs
The Friends Free Library is offering two summer reading programs: Summer Reading Sketchbooks for students in Preschool through 2nd grade; and Summer Reading Challenge for students in grades 3 through 5.
If you would like to sign your child up for either program, please email Marj Little with your child's name and grade (as of September), or sign up at the library circulation desk, by June 10 with your child's name and grade (as of September 2018) or sign up at the circulation desk.
Summer Reading Party
At the end of the summer, participants will be invited to a Summer Reading Party at the library. We'll share sketchbooks, play games, and eat water ice. And there will be prizes for all of the sketchbook artists and challenge winners!
The Summer Reading Party will be on Tuesday, September 3, from 1-3 p.m. on the GFS campus.
