explore our CAMPUS

What's cool about our campus is that it's spread out over seven acres in Philadelphia's historic neighborhood of Germantown. The buildings are an eclectic mix of old and new, a unique look and feel more consistent with a college campus. With three gyms, three auditoriums, a student center, numerous open, green spaces and nine classroom buildings, it's a place worthy of adoration and exploration. The Meetinghouse, at the center of it all, provides a beautiful and spiritual focal point.

The Pillars of A

Quaker Education

At GFS, students and teachers gather in Meeting for Worship once each week. This is a time for shared, silent contemplation. Anyone who feels moved to speak may rise and do so. It is a simple formula, and can be a remarkably powerful experience. In these days of constant connectivity, the ability and opportunity to sit in silence have special value. Meeting for Worship is a cornerstone of the GFS culture that many come to cherish throughout their lives.

College Counseling

At GFS, we believe the college search and application process is a reflective, challenging, and critical journey toward self-actualization. This rite of passage can be time-consuming, frustrating, and sobering; however, it can also be exciting, enlightening, and fun!

It has several components: searching, visiting, narrowing down your choices, and finally, applying. Ultimately, it is a decision-making process for the student; a journey of personal and educational exploration.

What makes the GFS college counseling process unique is its individualized and collaborative nature. Each student is assigned a personal college counselor, yet has the support and resources of our entire office. Three full-time counselors, and an administrative assistant, representing diverse areas of expertise and experience serve as our college counseling team.

As educators, our team is invested in the academic, co-curricular, and personal growth of our students. We seek to educate students, and their families, and equip them with the necessary tools to develop self-awareness and make informed decisions about their future. Our counselors, by partnering with students and their parents, are dedicated to guiding families through this process, decreasing anxiety and increasing transparency.

Many thanks in advance for trusting us as stewards in this journey, and we look forward to experiencing this meaningful process with you. Please contact us at with any questions.
