2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR APPLICATION TIMELINE

September: Application Process Opens

Families may begin to submit application items for the 2024-25 school year in early September. We encourage families to prioritize required appointment scheduling, as slots are limited and fill up quickly. Applicants with required appointments scheduled after December 19, 2023 will not be eligible for a January decision release. Families applying for financial aid are encouraged to review the application requirements, begin to gather required information, and reach out to our Financial Aid department at financialaid@germantownfriends.org with any questions as early as possible. 

December: Application Completion Deadline for January Decision Release

In order to receive an admissions and financial aid decision by January 22, 2024, all required application items must be completed by December 19, 2023Please note the financial aid application (for families applying to Grades PreK and up) is separate from the admissions application, and managed via the FAST website.

January: Decision Release

Applicants who complete all required application items by December 19, 2023 will receive a decision via the admissions portal by January 22, 2024. Decision release for all other completed applications will resume in February and continue on a weekly basis. Please note that in certain grades with high application volume and/or limited capacity, a wait-pool decision could be the best outcome as early as February.

February: New Enrollment Deadline for January Accepts

For applicants accepted in January, the deadline to enroll, including completion of all required enrollment items, is February 23, 2024

Note: GFS does not generally accept applications to grade 12. If you are interested in grade 12 admission, please call us to discuss further.
