How many years have you been a student tour guide?
What is your favorite thing about GFS and why?
My favorite thing about GFS is the community. The size of my class allows me to be pretty familiar with everyone in it. Everyone knows each other, so we can all rely on one another.
What extracurricular activities or student groups do you participate in?
I participate in the Model UN Club, Jazz Band, Investment Club, and Investment DIS. Outside of school, I am in the Boy Scouts, and I am an Eagle Scout.
What has been your favorite GFS experience? What made it so special?
My favorite GFS experience was the 9th grade musical. Despite not being a theatre person in any sense of the word, I found it interesting, as a Stage Manager, to learn how a production is put on and have the hands-on experience in managing a performance.
Parents often ask: "What makes GFS unique?" How would you answer that question?
Definitely the connections with the teachers. I feel very comfortable reaching out to any of my teachers if I have questions about any work or material we are covering in class. As a senior, these connections have come in handy when asking for college recommendations.
