How many years have you been a student tour guide?
What is your favorite thing about GFS and why?
I love the GFS community. My favorite thing about GFS is being able to walk through a building or outside and be greeted by students and teachers from any grade. I love that I can have relationships with students in grades above and below through clubs and just school-wide activities. I have never been to any other school where everyone exchanges smiles in the halls.
What extracurricular activities or student groups do you participate in?
Big Sibs, Support for Positive Body Image, Chaverim
What has been your favorite GFS experience? What made it so special?
Big Sibs as a club has been such a cool experience. I love getting to know the kids and making friendships with people I wouldn't otherwise know. I helped out in a Kindergarten art class and I not only developed relationships with the members of the class, but I was fascinated by how intelligent and creative the kids were at such a young age.
Parents often ask: "What makes GFS unique?" How would you answer that question?
The amazing people at GFS is what makes it so unique. When I was looking at other schools before I came to GFS, what made me want to go to GFS so much was the friendliness from every single person I met. I have always felt comfortable at GFS, since the day I visited. GFS made coming to a new school in eighth grade the best experience I could have asked for, because there was never a moment I felt alone and since then I have still been surrounded by support.
