Welcome to the GFS Alumni pages. Our goal is to help alumni stay in touch with classmates and friends, to provide updates on the latest news from GFS and to encourage alumni involvement in the life of the school. Check back here often.
Julie Rottenberg '88, a television writer and producer, returned to GFS to celebrate the Poley Festival and to talk to students about her career path, working in television, and her early influences and inspirations.
GFS has always been lucky to count in its faculty and staff a good number of alumni. Many of these alums stayed for decades to become the next generation of teachers at GFS, mentoring the next generation of alumni faculty and staff.

In addition to our talented student writers, actors, and directors, this year's Poley Fest featured Julie Rottenberg '88, known for producing hit shows "Sex and the City," "Smash," and "Odd Mom Out," and, most recently, "Divorce," on HBO. Poley Fest runs from 5/15-5/19.
At first glance, Danny Ceisler '10 might seem like an unlikely military intelligence officer. After all, he's a GFS lifer and a self-described Philadelphia-area progressive.
But, Danny says, "My GFS education was the best training I could have possibly had."
"My work explores how power differentials are inherited, and looks to the past to see how we arrived where we are," said Marisa. "By articulating resistance and history through art and experiences, we can more effectively work on making change."
