Carmen Winant ’02 Solo Exhibition at The Print Center

A new exhibition featuring the work of Carmen Winant ’02 is on view at The Print Center, a gallery in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, until July 16. Carmen is a photographer and the Roy Lichtenstein Chair of Studio Art at Ohio State University. She was a 2019 Guggenheim fellow in photography and has exhibited her work widely, including at the Museum of Modern Art.

The Print Center exhibition—supported by a major grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage—is titled “A Brand New End: Survival and Its Pictures.” The project, featuring Carmen's newly commissioned work, incorporates historical and contemporary representations of oppression, liberation, and self-expression drawn from the archives of Women In Transition and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
