The Friends Free Library has compiled a list of books and other neurodiversity-affirming resources for Autism Acceptance Month.
Welcome to the Friends Free Library!
We are the school library of Germantown Friends School serving both the internal GFS community and our Germantown neighbors. Throughout the year, students, families, community day care centers and school groups visit us for story hours, book selection and library instruction.
Our Library collection consists of approximately 50,000 books, as well as newspapers and magazines, and an active collection of online research databases. Our goal is to encourage a love of reading and to assist individuals with their research needs using both print and internet resources.
Summer REading 2023
Celebrate summer by curling up with some good books! This year, Early Childhood, Lower, and Middle School students will spin the wheels of fortune to discover new books (and new situations in which to read them). Upper School students will be competing for a pizza party in a homeroom reading challenge. Rising sixth graders and rising ninth graders may choose to participate in either or both of the programs for their current or upcoming grade level. Please click below for more information!
