Germantown Friends School is a proud member of A Better Chance organization. We are eager to assist you in the application process and invite you to begin your journey. In addition to your SAO application, the following items are necessary to complete your application to Germantown Friends School.

STEP 1
Get started: Submit an Inquiry
Submit an Inquiry Form within 48 hours of submitting your SAO application and create your Admissions Portal password.
The Admissions Portal is used to facilitate much of the application process. To establish an application account with GFS, a parent or guardian should begin by filling out this online Inquiry Form. Once submitted, an email will be sent with a link to set up access to the online Admissions Portal. Simply click the link and set your password. Please be sure to list “ABC Referral” as your awareness reason.
STEP 2
Application Fee Waiver
Contact our office to request a Fee Waiver Code
We waive the application fee for A Better Chance Applicants. After you have completed the above steps, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@germantownfriends.org or (215) 951-2345 to request the ABC Application Fee Waiver Code.
STEP 3
Schedule Your Parent and Student Interview
The following items must be received by December 30, 2022 to be considered for the first round of review:
An Admissions Director will hold a virtual interview with you and your child, separately, during which you will be able to ask questions about GFS. Parent Interviews typically last 45 minutes and Student Interviews are approximately 30 minutes.
Middle School applicants will visit for half a day in their current grade. Upper School applicants can meet students and visit classrooms by scheduling a tour, led by a Student Ambassador or Admissions Director. Tours are a great way to get a sense of our school community and are entirely optional.
