Boys Track & Field
The GFS running teams have earned the reputation of a top program in the city, state, and beyond. The Varsity Boys Track & Field team won the FSL title for the third consecutive year in 2023. It was the eleventh title in 12 years, and the 22nd in 40 years since the origin of the championship. Four athletes also medaled at the PAISAA state meet and seven advanced to the New Balance Track & Field Nationals.
All of GFS' running teams, including the spring and indoor Track & Field teams and Cross Country teams, are directed by Head Coach Rob Hewitt. The Boys Cross Country team earned its 21st consecutive FSL title in 2023. Many of GFS running athletes have continued their careers at NCAA Division I and III programs.
