The Open Door
The Open Door is a unique community gathering place, located just off the Front Hall in the Main Building.
Conceived by a committee of parents, faculty and friends, and funded by GFS alumni, this hybrid space is a place for conversation over coffee and snacks, studying between classes, collaboration with fellow students, and exploration between students and faculty.
The Open Door is supported by local businesses including High Point Cafe (owned by GFS alumna Meg Hagele) and Weaver’s Way Co-op of Mt. Airy.
The Open Door features:
- A full espresso bar
- Pastries, snacks, and prepared food items
- GFS clothing and gear
- Alumni-authored books
- School supplies
Next time you’re on campus, stop in and check it out!
The Open Door is currently closed for the summer.
