Ways of Giving
All gifts are fully tax-deductible.
Please make checks payable to "Germantown Friends School". You may send your gift to: Advancement Office, 31 West Coulter Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144

If you work for a company that matches gifts to schools, your contribution to GFS may be doubled. We will give you full credit for both gifts. For example, if you give $1,000 to Annual Giving and your company provides a matching gift of $1,000, we will list you as a member of 1845 Partners of the Blue and White Society (gifts of $1,845 to $4,999). Please ask for forms in your benefits office.

Corporate Giving through EITC and OSTC
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania offers a unique opportunity for businesses in the state to reduce tax liability by contributing to registered scholarship organizations. Gifts to scholarships at Germantown Friends School can generate a tax credit equal to 75% of the contribution, up to a maximum of $750,000 annually. Two-year commitments receive a 90% tax reduction up to a maximum of $750,000 each year. Learn more about these programs here.
This is an an excellent way to give to GFS. Congress has again extended the IRA Charitable Rollover and finally made it permanent. So, if you’re 70½ or older, you have an opportunity to make a gift to GFS of up to $100,000 annually, and the gift is not reportable as taxable income. These gifts are not taxable; they qualify for your required minimum distribution (RMD) which can effectively lower your taxable income; and they do not impact your checking or savings account balances.
Giving through the United Way
If your employer offers the opportunity to make gifts through the United Way Donor Choice Program your designation of GFS - Code #1925 - will supply important support to the Annual Fund.
We have two links for shopping where a percentage of sales is donated to GFS: AmazonSmile and Giving Assistant.
