While we encourage you to submit materials prior to the stated deadlines, we do accept applications on a rolling basis and may be able to consider late applications. Please call the Admissions Office at 215-951-2345 with additional questions.

December 10, 2021 | Deadline to Initiate an Application
Please initiate an application by this date to be eligible for first round review. Families must complete specific information and questionnaires, and submit the $45 application fee via our Admissions Portal.

January 7, 2022 | Admissions Application Completion Deadline
Families who have completed the application process by January 7, 2022 will be eligible for first round review and decision notification. "First round review" means that our Admissions Committee will first review all applications that are completed by January 7, 2022. These applications will receive an admission decision (admit, waitpool, or regret) by February 1, 2022, and a financial aid package (as applicable), shortly thereafter.

Please note that in order for an application to be complete, all admissions checklist items in the Admissions Portal must be recorded as complete or received. Applications completed after January 7, 2022 will be considered on a rolling basis as they become complete and decisions will be published weekly each Friday. "Rolling admissions" means they will be reviewed by our Admissions Committee on an ongoing basis and will receive an admission and financial aid decision once available (typically bi-weekly). It is important to note that the availability of spots and financial aid both decrease during rolling admissions, and it is possible that the best possible outcome during this time could be a waitpool decision.

Families with Students of Color Virtual Admissions Event

DECEMBER 9, 2021 at 7 P.M.

There is no better way to learn about GFS than a tour of our vibrant campus in historic Germantown. Attend one of our upcoming events to hear from GFS leadership, staff, faculty, parents, and students.

Thursday, December 9, 7 p.m.
At GFS, we believe in a strong and lasting community that extends beyond a child’s classroom and into a supportive network of families, alumni, neighbors, and friends. We recognize and celebrate the importance of fellowship within our community, particularly for those united by their shared ethnic and/or racial experiences. Families with students of color are invited to learn about our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming space for all.

In keeping with the Quaker testimony of Equality and our school’s commitment to diversity, Germantown Friends School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, creed, political beliefs, or citizenship status in the administration of its educational policies, application for admissions or financial aid, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
