The first step in the application process is to create an online inquiry and an Admissions account below. As you move through the application, we will help you complete the different checklist items within the process. We are currently conducting remote parent interviews via video chat. Once you have completed the Demographic Info, Parent Questionnaire and submitted the $45 application fee, we will reach out via email to schedule your virtual parent interview.

Please Note: At GFS, students ages 5 and older are required to complete the COVID-19 vaccination. It is likely that GFS will extend the vaccine requirement to students 4 and under in the future. Exemptions from the vaccination requirement may be requested on an individual basis with the GFS Nurses. Everyone 6 months of age and older is now eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccination. More information is available here: PDPH Vaccine and Booster Info

Initiate Your Application

Provide some basic information, tell us a bit about your interest in GFS.

Once you are in the Admissions Portal, you will see a set of required forms at the top of the application checklist. Please fill out the following forms by December 30, 2022 to be eligible for first round review for the 2023-24 School Year:

  • Demographic Information — to be completed by a parent or guardian
  • Parent Questionnaire — to be completed by a parent or guardian
  • Student Questionnaire — to be completed by applicants applying to grades 6 through 12
  • $45 Application Fee — If this is a hardship please give us a call.

Once these items are completed, you will be able to schedule your Parent Interview.

Schedule Your Parent Interview and Student Visit

Parent interviews are a chance for us to get to know your family!

Once you have completed the Demographic Info, Parent Questionnaire, and submitted the $45 application fee, virtual interview and student visit times will become available in your Admissions portal.

We will learn about your child, and answer any questions you have about GFS. They typically last about an hour and are conducted via Zoom. If you aren’t familiar with video chat, don’t worry — we’re here to help!  For families with multiple applicants, only one Parent Interview is required. If possible, we ask that all parents be present at the same video chat.

The student visit allows a student to experience a typical day in the life at GFS! Students will visit for half a day in their current grade.

Confidential Teacher Recommendations

The Teacher Recommendation forms and requests should be sent directly from the Veracross Admissions Portal to the teacher(s) you choose. We ask that you please choose the teacher from this school year that knows your child the best.

While this item should not be submitted prior to October 1, we suggest communicating the request to the completing teacher as soon as possible so they may plan accordingly.

Admissions Testing

Families may submit either ISEE or SSAT exam scores from within the last year. We will accept results of ISEE or SSAT exams administered both in-person or online for 2022-23 applicants.

For information on scheduling a remote exam, please visit SSAT at Home or ISEE at Home. Test scores must be received by December 30, 2022

Please have your child's test scores sent to us directly using the code 3397 for SSAT or 393325 for ISEE when prompted on the test provider website.
