Fall Open Houses

Saturday, October 15, 1-3 p.m.
Join us at 31 W. Coulter St. to meet students, faculty, and staff to hear what they value most about GFS. Take a guided tour of Main Campus in historic Germantown, and chat with teachers about the rich array of learning opportunities that a GFS education has to offer. This will be a lightly programmed event offering a traditional Open House experience.

Friday, November 11, 8:15-11 a.m.
Come and see GFS in action, hear from our Head of School Dana Weeks, take a tour, and see the rich array of learning opportunities in living color while classes are in session. Our program will begin in the historic Meetinghouse prior to your guided tour. We will close our program with Division specific panels, allowing you to hear from administrators, teachers, current parents, and students. This event will take place at 31 W. Coulter St. on our Main Campus.

Virtual Financial Aid Presentation

Thursday, October 20, 6:30-8 p.m.

Join us on Zoom to learn more about the comprehensive Financial Aid and Non-Tuition Financial Aid Program at Germantown Friends School. There will be time to ask any questions you may have, and to speak directly to Chris Breña, Director of Financial Aid. Zoom link to follow.

Early Childhood Center City Look and Learn

Come and learn about our Center City Early Childhood space, centrally located in the Curtis Center (across from Washington Square). Hear from GFS Head of School Dana Weeks, take a tour, and chat with administrators, teachers, and current parents about the rich array of learning opportunities that a GFS education has to offer.

Our interdisciplinary curriculum—centered around emergent literacy and math concepts and scientific and artistic exploration is brought to life through age-appropriate project times, specials, and play! Learning can happen indoors or outside in the neighborhood parks and gardens. Please enjoy some of those outdoor moments with our Preschool and PreK students. COVID-19 Protocols

Registering for and attending GFS admissions events conveys a shared expectation of complying with all school health and safety policies. Please note that GFS requires the COVID-19 vaccine for all of our students, faculty, and staff.

If your child is unwell in any way on the day before or day of an event, please contact the Admissions Office. This includes symptoms of fever, cough, runny nose, congestion, headache, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

GFS is currently a mask-optional campus, and visitors are encouraged to wear one at their discretion. We may ask visitors to mask while on campus if future Philadelphia Department of Health guidelines require us to change this policy. If we have more information to share about our COVID-19 protocols, we will be in touch with you as the date approaches.
